Week 4 – Mid-Penn XC Results (9/24/19)

Palmyra @ Mechanicsburg

It was senior day today at Mechanicsburg:

Boys:

The Palmyra boys continue to look very strong in Mid-Penn competition and they pick up the win over Mechanicsburg today. This runs their record to 6-0 in the Keystone Division and finishes off the perfect season! Jakolby Fackler (16:43) and Zach Toth (16:50) go 1-2 for Palmyra while Mechanicsburg’s Kyle Costello (16:57) also breaks 17-min in finishing 3rd.

Girls:

Hope McKenney (Mechanicsburg) gets a quality win today over Palmyra‘s Hannah Rohrer. Both have been running very well in Mid-Penn competition this season. Olivia Walter also runs a nice race for Mechanicsburg, dipping under 20:15 to make our honor roll standard. Running her final home meet, Molly Snyder (Mech) finishes 4th overall and sets a new PR (video below)!

CD East and Mifflin County @ Central Dauphin

Brayden Harris (Mifflin County) set’s a new course record, running 16:30. Congrats Brayden!

Shippensburg @ Boiling Springs

Boys:

Hayden Hunt and Elias Spence lead Shippensburg to a hard fought win over a strong Boiling Springs squad. Evan Kase places 3rd overall for Boiling Springs. With the victory, Shippensburg wins the Mid-Penn Colonial Division. Congrats Ship!

Girls:

Lower Dauphin and Red Land @ Hershey

Boys:

The results are a little tough to read, but the Hershey boys took home the victories today over Lower Dauphin and Red Land. The Trojans took home 5 of the top 6 places.

Girls:

State College @ Carlisle

The Thundering Herd boys and girls both pick up big wins over State College. Evan Peachey and Casey Padgett go 1-2 for Carlisle in the boys race while Sophia Toti and Gretal Shank take the top 2 spots in the girls race.
