CPAR Track Performers of the Meet:

LAILA CAMPBELL (FR, SPRING GROVE) – Campbell swept the sprints (100-200-400) and set a new PIAA District III AAA 200m record in the process. Her times: 100m – 12.00; 200m – 24.11; 400m – 56.43. She’ll go or the 100m and 200m sprint double next weekend. 

WEBER LONG (JR, GREENCASTLE-ANTRIM) – Weber Long gets the nod over Kristian Phennicie (jr Dallastown) in a close one. Long won the distance double in extreme heat, claiming the 3200m run in 9:18 on Friday evening in temps in the mid-to upper 80s and sun glaring. He claimed the 1600m the next day, splitting 2:01 over his final 800m to go 4:14. 

CPAR Field Performers of the Meet:

ANNIKA ERMOLD (JR, GOVERNOR MIFFLIN) – Ermold won the shot put on Friday and returned to place 3rd in the discus on Saturday. Her winning shot was 40-09.25 which was nearly 3-feet ahead of her nearest competitor. She threw the discus 126-06. 

Madison Knier (so, Manheim Central) and Erika Jackson (fr, Harrisburg) were close runner-ups!

KYLE MURR (SR, PENN MANOR) – Murr won both the Triple Jump and the Long Jump. He equaled his Triple Jump PR, hitting 47-10.25. He then PR’d to win the Long Jump, reaching out to 22-04.

Girl’s Team Champion: SCHUYLKILL VALLEY

Boy’s Team Champion: WYOMISSING

CPAR Track Performers of the Meet:

ELLA AHNER (JR, TULPEHOCKEN) – Won the 100m and 200m dashes while finishing runner-up in the 400m. Her times from the weekend: 100m (12.72); 200m (25.79); and 400m (59.33). 

Amiyah Priebe (sr, Greenwood) was a very close runner-up with her effort in going for the distance triple. 

LUKE SEYMOUR (JR, SCHUYLKILL VALLEY) – Seymour cruised in both the 1600m and 800m to win both. He wasn’t challenged in either, running 4:21 and 1:59. He then anchored the Panthers 4x400m relay team to victory. 

CPAR Field Performers of the Meet:

ASHLYN GILES (SR, SCHUYLKILL VALLEY) – Giles won both the shot put and discus by convincing fashion. She broke the District 3 AA record in the shot put with her 48-00.25 toss. She went 147-11 in the discus to win by 37-feet. Giles also placed 6th in the Javelin. 

Congrats to Bermudian Springs freshman Allison Watts who swept the horizontal jumps.

DANTE ELLIOT (SR, LITTLESTOWN) – Elliot excelled in all 3 jumping disciplines this weekend for Littlestown. He won the High Jump with a 6-6 clearance. He won the Triple Jump with a leap of 45-03.5. He also placed 4th in the Long Jump.

PIAA DISTRICT 6 CLASS AAA CHAMPIONSHIPS

CPAR Track Performers of the Meet:

HALEY STICKLE (SR, SOMERSET) – Stickle dominated the hurdle events at the District 6 AAA championships. She won the 100mH in 14.93 and 300mH in 45.98. 

BRADY BIGGER (SR, STATE COLLEGE) – Bigger won both the 1600m (4:19.27) and 800m (1:55.75) runs. He also ran a leg on State College’s PA #1 ranked 4x800m relay team (7:50.99). 

CPAR Field Performers of the Meet:

BROOKE LONG (JR, ALTOONA) – Long took home the Triple Jump title with a 37-10 performance. She finished 2nd in the Long Jump with an impressive 18-03.5 leap. 

Shannon Mullin (sr, State College) won the Long Jump (18-06.25) and finished 2nd in the Triple Jump (36-09).

Long’s combined distance between both jumping events was the tie-breaker. Great performances by both athletes this weekend!

DUSTIN HYDE (SR, SOMERSET) – Hyde continued his excellent season in the shot put and discus, winning both. He won the shot by nearly 10-feet, throwing 58-09.25. He won the discus with a toss of 171-11.

PIAA DISTRICT 6 CLASS AA CHAMPIONSHIPS

Girl’s Team Champion: TYRONE AREA

Boy’s Team Champion: CENTRAL CAMBRIA

CPAR Track Performers of the Meet:

LAUREN SHAFER (JR, PORTAGE) – Won the 1600m in 5:06.27. Then came back to win the 400m running sub-60 (59.13), and finished the day (at least individually) with a 2nd place finish to Kathleen Simander (sr, Saint Joseph’s Cath.) in the 800m, running 2:18.20. 

KADIN MOORE (SR, SOUTHERN HUNTINGDON) – Swept the sprinting events, winning the 100m, 200m, and 400m dashes. Ran 11.12 (100m), 22.38 (200m), and 51.21 en route to winning 3 golds. Had to run prelims in the 100 and 200 as well. 

CPAR Field Performers of the Meet:

MAIZEE FRY (SR, UNITED) – Qualified for states in all 3 throwing disciplines. She won the shot put with a toss of 41-00.5 and placed 2nd in the discus (119-10) and Javelin (125-02). 

TEAGAN SHARP (SR, HOMER CENTER) – Won the discus with a state qualifying effort of 158-08. Finished 2nd in the shot put to Joe Wertz (sr, Bellwood-Antis) by a heart-breaking 3-inches.

CPAR Track Performers of the Meet: 

MIA BOARDMAN (JR, CUMBERLAND VALLEY) – Won the 400m (56.94), placed 8th in the 200m (26.63), and ran legs on Cumberland Valley’s championship 4x400m relay team (4:00.05) and 2nd place 4x100m (49.25). 

XANDER TOPOS (SR, PALMYRA) – Won both the 110mH (14.95) and 300mH (39.33) and ran on Palmyra’s 3rd place 4x100m relay and 3rd place 4x400m relay. 

CPAR Field Performers of the Meet: 

SHANNON MULLIN (JR, STATE COLLEGE) – Won the Triple Jump (37-05.75) and placed 2nd in the Long Jump (18-00.5) by half an inch. 

JUSTIN RODGERS (JR, HERSHEY) – The Hershey junior broke the meet record, clearing a lifetime best 16-06.25. This currently ranks him US#11. 

Honorable mention – Conrad Moore (sr, State College) – cleared 6-10 to win the HJ. This ranks him US#13.

CPAR Track Performers of the Meet: 

ARIELLE BREUNINGER (SR, JP MCCASKEY) – Won the 3200m run in 11:03.90. Anchored JP McCaskey’s winning 4x800m relay team, then won the 1600m in 5:06.07. She ended her weekend with a 2nd place finish in the 800m (2:18.94). 

TANNER HESS (SR, HEMPFIELD) – Won the 100m dash (11.09), 200m dash (22.38), and ran an incredible anchor in the 4×100, coming from way back, to win it for Hempfield. He also placed 6th in the Shot Put (46-04.25). 

Honorable Mention – Graham Thomas (sr, Penn Manor) – Won the 3200m (9:15.03) and 1600m runs (4:19.59). 

CPAR Field Performers of the Meet: 

MADDIE KNIER (SO, MANHEIM CENTRAL) – Won the Javelin (127-06), the long jump (17-02), and was 2nd in the High Jump (5-0) and Triple Jump (35-11.25). 

DYLAN LAMBRECHT (SR, NORTHERN LEBANON) – Won the Shot Put (58-02.5) and Discus (165-10) for Northern Lebanon.

LL LEAGUE JR HIGH CHAMPIONSHIPS

CPAR Track Performers of the Meet: 

ALISYN MULLHOLLAND (8TH, MANHEIM TOWNSHIP) Won the 400m in convincing fashion, running 1:00.81. Finished 2nd in the 100m (13.02). Ran a leg on the Township 4×100 that finished 5th, even after a botched hand-off.  *This was a close one with both Sarah Bard (8th, Solanco) and Emma Housekeeper (8th, Solanco) in contention. If not for a DQ, one of them may have been performer of the meet. 

COLE STEVENS (8TH, MANHEIM TOWNSHIP) – Won both the 1600m (4:46.69) and 800m (2:09.27) by more than 10-seconds each. Came back and ran a strong leg on Manheim Township’s winning 4x400m (3:50.10) as well. 

CPAR Field Performers of the Meet: 

LACI NELSON (8TH, MANHEIM CENTRAL) – Won both the SP (36-09) and Discus (93-07) for the Barons. Her discus toss was 10-feet better than 2nd place. She was the only field event double winner on the day (both girls and boys). 

WYATT KAUFFMAN (8TH, PENN MANOR) – Had a monster throw in the discus of 150-01 feet. Won the event by over 30-feet.

Girl’s Team Champion: WILSON

CPAR Track Performers of the Meet: 

CARYN RIPPEY (JR, WILSON) – Brought home 4 golds, starting with the 3200m (10:58.50) on Thursday. On Saturday, she ran a leg on Wilson’s winning 4×800 (9:38.57), won the 1600m (5:08.24), and placed 2nd in the 800m (2:19.96). 

ETHAN CAPITANO (SR, WILSON) – Brought home 4 golds. He won the 100m (11.12) and 200m (22.47), and ran legs on the winning 4x100m (43.18) and 4x400m (3:30.39). 

CPAR Field Performers of the Meet: 

ASHLYN GILES (SR, SCHUYLKILL VALLEY) – The area’s most dominant thrower did not disappoint this weekend. She won the Discus on Friday with a new county record – 169-02. She also placed 3rd in the Javelin on Friday with a 119-09. She won the Shot Put on Saturday with a toss of 49-00.50. She’s US#1 in the shot and has moved up to US#3 in the discus!

RUSHARD WILLIAMS (SR, WYOMISSING) – Won the Shot Put with a massive PR throw of 56-03.75 and placed 2nd in the discus with a solid 157-05. 

Honorable Mention – TJ White (sr, Muhlenberg) – won the HJ (6-2) and the Triple Jump (43-01)

Combined Team Champion: BELLWOOD ANTIS

CPAR Track Performers of the Meet: 

MORGAN HESS (JR, JUNIATA VALLEY) – Hess won all 3 distance events, winning the 800m (2”30.61), 1600m (5:31.58), and 3200m (12:38.13). Not easy to do in one day! She also ran a leg on the Juniata Valley’s 2nd place 4x400m relay team. 

KADIN MOORE (SR, SOUTHERN HUNTINGDON) – Moore swept the sprint events, winning the 100m (11.18), 200m (22.70), and 400m (50.78). He also ran a leg on Southern Huntingdon’s 3rd place 4x400m relay team. 

CPAR Field Performers of the Meet: 

ASHLEY YOKUM (JR, EVERETT AREA) – Yokum won the High Jump in convincing fashion, clearing 5-02.5. 

JOE WERTZ (SR, BELLWOOD ANTIS) – Wertz won both the Shot (48-03.5) and the Discus (138-09). He would also finish 2nd in the Javelin with a toss of 152-08.

CPAR Track Performers of the Meet: 

LAILA CAMPBELL (FR, SPRING GROVE) – Campbell set meet records in winning both the 100m and 200m, running 11.97 and 24.23 respectively in the preliminary round. She also won the 400m in 56.66. 

AJ VIRATA (SR, RED LION) – Virata won both the 100m and 200m setting new PRs of 10.77 and 21.94. His 4x100m relay team took home victory in a blazing 42.75. He also placed 2nd in the High Jump with a 6-4 clearance. 

CPAR Field Performers of the Meet: 

ZAIAH MARSHALL (SR, SOUTH WESTERN) – She won the Long Jump with a distance of 17-04.25 and finished 2nd in the Triple Jump with a distance of 36-06.25. 

DANTE ELLIOT (SR, LITTLESTOWN) – Swept the jumps with a personal best High Jump clearance of 6-5, a long jump personal best of 20-11, anda triple jump leap of 44-00.25.

CPAR Track Performers of the Meet: 

ANNA STITZER (JR, PENNS VALLEY) – Won the 1600m (5:24.34) and 800m (2:30.59) and Penn’s Valley won the 4x800m and 4x400m relays.

BRENDAN COLWELL (SR, PENNS VALLEY) – Won the 1600m (4:29.66) and placed 2nd in the 800m (2:01.09). Penns Valley’s 4x800m relay claimed 1st and their 4x400m relay was 2nd. 

CPAR Field Performers of the Meet: 

SARAH HOLLER (SR, BALD EAGLE) – Won the Shot Put (34-11.5) and the Discus (99-09). Finished 2nd in the Javelin (97-01)

JOHN BESCH (SR, BELLEFONTE) – Won the Shot Put (47-02) and placed 2nd in the Discus (121-04).
