Within 4 hours of my class AAA boys preview, the PIAA District 3 (D3) announced their long expected changes to team and individual qualifying standards for the district XC meet. Based on our pre-season league meet projected order of finish, and the new team qualifying guidelines, we project how the team race may unfold. With a smaller scoring field, there are some changes in team “ranking.”. Teams and individuals must qualify for the district meet from their league championships. Individual qualifiers are then removed from team scoring.
