Hughesville and District 7 foes Winchester Thurston and Riverview placed 1-3 at last year’s class A Championships. Hughesville makes the move to class AA this season, so the chance of a repeat is not possible. Winchester Thurston and Riverview both graduated the top of their line-ups from 2021 making their path to a repeat top 3 finish much more difficult. Making that path much more difficult is Central Cambria moving to class A for the 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 academic years. The Red Devils are absolutely loaded. They placed 6th in class AA last season and would have been our #2 ranked team in the state had they remained in AA. They are our pre-season #1 ranked team in the state this season.
