Girls race at 10:00 AM
Boys race at 10:45 AM
Championship season is upon us! The Mid-Penn Conference gets things started with their championship taking place this Saturday at Big Spring. All 3 classes compete against each other for the overall team title, but much more is on the line as team’s and individual’s battle to qualify for Districts.
Here are the District 3 qualifying standards for the Mid-Penn Conference:
Class AAA Boys – The top 8 teams will advance to Districts. AAA schools will be scored against each other to determine the top 8. Note that Mifflin County and State College are Mid-Penn members but compete in District 6. Their scores will be removed. Additionally, the top 24 individual finishers not on one of those 8 qualifying teams will advance to Districts. If 5 of those 24 individuals are from the same school then that school will be able to score as a team at Districts.
Class AAA Girls – Same as above but 9 teams and the top 27 individuals not on one of those 9 teams will qualify.
Class AA Boys and Girls – The top 5 teams and the top 15 individuals not on one of those 5 teams will qualify.
Class A – Everyone from Class A advances to Districts.
Below we project the top 100 finishers in both boys and girls championship races. We project team scores for the overall championship and broken out by District 3 Class AAA and Class AA. This allows us to project which teams will advance to the District 3 Championships. We also project the individual qualifiers to Districts.
Enjoy!
