The top 2 teams at the 2025 District 3 Class A Championships will advance to the PIAA State Championships at Hersheypark. Since the PIAA went to 3 classifications the challenge facing the small school classification is their ability to field a roster with at least 5 individuals. This is why you will see a number of teams as “NR” (not ranked) below.
How we do our rankings:
- Each individual runner is ranked based on previous year(s) performances. The top freshmen, based on middle school performances, are included in the rankings. (Individual rankings will be posted soon)
- The top 7 individuals per team are then scored. For teams with more than 7 runners ranked, those outside of the top 7 are not scored.
- Any team that has at least 5 ranked individuals will be scored.
- Teams with 4 individuals are also scored for purposes of our Class A pre-season rankings. That said, the 5th scorer is scored with the lowest possible finish. For example, the Anchor Christian boys have 4 known runners this season. Those 4 are scored based on their individual rankings. There are 67 runners currently ranked in our database with 58 of those projected to score team points. The 5th scorer for Anchor Christian is assigned 59 points towards the team’s total.
- If after the 2nd week of the regular season a team does not have at least 5 runners in our database they will be dropped from the rankings and assigned an “NR” and “NTS” (No team score).
- Individual and team rankings will be updated weekly.
