Area athletes had some big performances on Sunday at the 2026 PTFCA Indoor State Track and Field Championships, hosted by Penn State University.

Included amongst the medalists were a few state championship performances. Winning state gold were Cedar Crest’s Kaddel Howard (sr) in the 200m and 400m, Mifflin County’s Carter Smith (sr) in the 800m, JP McCaskey’s Ella Petrosky (so) in the 60m dash, Wilson’s Alivia Noecker (so) in the shot put, New Oxford’s Brayden Billman in the triple jump, and the JP McCaskey girl’s 4x200m relay team!
