National Champion
1st – Eliana Schneider (Cedar Crest) / Javelin 167-4
Cedar Crest senior Eliana Schneider capped off her incredible senior season on Sunday by throwing a new personal best of 167-4 to set a new meet record and record a top-five performance in Pennsylvania state history. Schneider earned her first national title last year in this event, and defended her title in 2026.
National Runner-Up
2nd – Carter Smith (Mifflin County) / Mile 4:01.72
Soon to be Oklahoma State Cowboy, Carter Smith opened his weekend with the mile, a race he won in 2025. Smith put himself in a great position throughout the race and ultimately claimed second place. Smith is one of the state’s most polished distance runners, claiming seven state titles through his high school career.
2nd – Alivia Noecker (Wilson) / Shot Put 46-4 ¼
The Wilson sophomore finished her incredible year finishing 2nd in the shot put. Noecker won every shot put competition she entered this year except for the national meet and the Penn Relays, something very few athletes can say they have accomplished, and still has two more years remaining. Noecker is a three-time state medalist in two years, a freshman national champion, and now a championship national runner-up.
2nd – R.Cubbison, C.Lynch, W.Kauffman, C.Smith (Mifflin County) / DMR 9:54.67
Mifflin County had yet another incredible spring season. This foursome won at the Penn Relays setting a new state record in the DMR and are now national runner ups. Also not forgotten, Mifflin County won the 4×800 at states, a lot was accomplished by these four in the spring.
All American
5th – Vivian Salerno (JP McCaskey) / 800 2:06.33
Another sophomore, Vivian Salerno captured All-American status from the second to fast heat in a new personal best to improve on her all time Lancaster Lebanon League record. This was not Salerno’s first event of the weekend as she led off her team in the 4×800 splitting 2:07.06. Salerno was this past year’s PIAA State Champion in the 800 and looks to keep it that way for years to come.
5th – Eliana Schneider (Cedar Crest) / Heptathlon 4941
In her first heptathlon competition, Eliana Schneider did not disappoint. She’s committed to the University of Virginia for multis and we can see why. The first day started slow, but Schneider came back nine spots in the final day, placing first in the field in the javelin and 800 where she earned 1,715 points in the two events.
5th – Jada Lubin (JP McCaskey) / Javelin 137-2
JP McCaskey was able to get it done in multiple events this weekend with different athletes, Vivian Salerno in the 800 and Jada Lubin in the javelin. While not finishing with her personal best, the junior was still able to achieve All-American status, placing her second among returning athletes. Lubin medaled all three years in the Javelin at the PIAA State Championships and is the top returner for the 2027 season.
5th – Travis Furmanski (Cedar Crest) / 5000 14:38.50
Coming off a state title in cross country and a third place finish in the 3200 in May, it was obvious Travis Furmanski was due for a fast 5000 on the track. The University of Mississippi commit was in All-American position through 2000 meters and never looked back, with a closing mile in 4:38.99. Furmanski ends his career at Cedar Crest as a state champion, two-time 3200 meter state medalist and New Balance Nationals All-American.
6th – Lydia Tate (State College) / Discus 149-1
In one of the meets’ first competitions, we got our first All-American in State College’s Lydia Tate. Tate found the perfect meet to throw a new personal best, throwing a seven foot personal best to secure a 6th place finish. Tate just missed out on the PIAA State Championships in May and got her redemption in Philadelphia on Thursday to finish her amazing high school career.
6th – Sophia Rivera (Ephrata) / Shot Put 44-1 ¼
District 3 duo Alivia Noecker and Sophia Rivera have been fun to watch compete against each other and it continued at the national level. Sophia Rivera has had a wonderful career at Ephrata, she is now a two-time PIAA Outdoor State Champion, six time PIAA Outdoor medalist and an All-American. Rivera ranks 2nd in LL League history in the shot put and 3rd in the discus.
Top 10 finishes
7th – Luke Bradbury (State College) / 5000 14:41.41
Luke Bradbury was one of the state’s most improved athletes in 2026. Bradbury ran 9:36 as a sophomore and lowered that to 8:59 in 2026… to break the 9 minute barrier at the PIAA State Championships. While just missing All-American status, Bradbury will return as one of the top returners in 2027.
7th – Elijah Hess (Penn Manor) / Javelin 192-2
The Lancaster Lebanon League put three javelin throwers in the top 8 at New Balance Nationals this past weekend. While Hess did not throw a personal best, he improved on his 2025 nationals finish significantly, where he finished 27th.
10th – Okenie McLaughlin (Chambersburg) / Triple Jump 48-3 ½
Okenie McLaughlin made himself known among the state this past season, where he claimed a PIAA Outdoor State title in the triple jump with a jump of 50-2 ¾. McLaughlin finished his season placing 10th at New Balance Nationals.
