Girls:
Gabriella Houck (senior, Red Lion): Houck had an incredible showing at the PSU Spiked Shoe Invitational, where she placed runner-up in 18:16. Houck finished just 11 seconds behind Isabelle Sanders of Williamsport, who placed 12th at last season’s PIAA State Championships.
Natalie Quinn (senior, Chambersburg): Quinn finished third at Friday’s Blue Devil Invitational, where she defeated multiple top-ranked athletes in the district. Quinn also won her tri-meet on Tuesday at Carlisle, taking the victory by 47 seconds in 19:48.
Lauren Nutt (senior, Hershey): Nutt also finished third this weekend, running 20:20 at the Centaur Invitational. Her performance helped lead the Trojans to the team victory over Oley Valley. Nutt also took the win at her tri-meet on Tuesday, winning by 18 seconds and helping Hershey take the team victory.
Reagan Gates (sophomore, Pequea Valley): Gates did not compete at an invitational this weekend, but posted the fastest time in the district during the mid-week races. She ran 18:46 at Octorara to take the victory by 3:34.
Boys:
Luke Bradbury (senior, State College): Bradbury took the win at the PSU Spiked Shoe Invitational, where he dominated a very talented field, running 15:00 to take the win by 19 seconds. Bradbury also led the impressive State College team to a 55-point team victory, scoring just 35 points.
Compton Speck (senior, South Western): Speck took third at the Blue Devil Invitational and was the top District 3 representative. He also won his mid-week meet at Susquehannock by 10 seconds, running 17:58.
Nathan Landers (senior, Mechanicsburg): Landers was the top District 3 finisher at Saturday’s Centaur Invitational, placing third in 16:39. Landers also ran 17:57 on Tuesday at the tri-meet with Hershey and Mt. Calvary Christian.
Ben Doumaux (senior, Manheim Township): Similar to Reagan Gates, Doumaux did not compete at an invitational this weekend, but recorded the fastest time in the district among mid-week races at Tuesday’s dual meet with Ephrata, where he ran 16:19.
