VOTE: CPAR Athlete of The Week (9/26)

Voting begins tomorrow (9/28) at 12:15 PM @centralparunner on Instagram and ends at 12:15 PM on Tuesday (9/29)

Girls:

Reagan Gates (sophomore, Pequea Valley): Gates has been an Athlete of the Week candidate for the third consecutive week after winning the Championship Division at the Carlisle Invitational. She ran 18:17 to win the race by 31 seconds. Gates also picked up a win at her Tuesday meet, running 19:23.

Gabriella Houck (senior, Red Lion): Houck won Athlete of the Week two weeks ago following her runner-up finish at the PSU Invitational and is back in contention this week after placing fifth in the Challenge Division at the Carlisle Invitational, where she ran 18:07. Houck also won her Tuesday meet at James Buchanan by more than a minute, running 20:57.

Evelyn Younkin (junior, State College): Younkin was the top Central PA athlete at the PIAA Foundation Invitational, finishing fifth in 18:26. She also helped lead State College to the team title, as the Little Lions defeated Norwin by seven points.

Allie Darrenkamp (junior, Governor Mifflin): Darrenkamp did not compete this weekend but put together an impressive performance at Oley Valley on Tuesday, running 18:45 to win by 21 seconds.

Boys

Benjamin Farbman (senior, Dallastown): Farbman continued his strong senior season by finishing as the top District 3 runner at the Carlisle Invitational. He placed fifth overall in 15:49. Farbman also picked up a win at South Western on Wednesday, winning by 26 seconds in 16:32.

Luke Bradbury (senior, State College): Bradbury was the top Central PA representative at the PIAA Foundation Invitational, winning the Class 3A race in 15:10. He finished 29 seconds ahead of the runner-up.

Noah Huxta (senior, Dayspring Christian): Huxta placed ninth at the Whippets XC Invitational, running 16:25 to finish as the top District 3 representative.

Jayden Lockhart (senior, Wilson): Lockhart won the first Athlete of the Week award in August and is back in contention this week after winning at Schuylkill Valley on Wednesday. He ran 16:32 to win by 20 seconds.
