AAA Girls Top 10 (Previous Rank)
1. Governor Mifflin (2)
2. Hershey (4)
3. Carlisle (1)
4. Exeter (7)
5. Wilson (8)
6. Manheim Township (9)
7. Mechanicsburg (NR)
8. Red Lion (NR)
9. Dallastown (3)
10. Elizabethtown (6)
Bubble: Cumberland Valley (5), Hempfield (10), Warwick
Notes: Hershey was the top District 3 team at the Carlisle Invitational. They were followed closely by Mechanicsburg, Carlisle, and Manheim Township. Cumberland Valley looked to be without several of their top girls on Saturday, maybe giving some rest. Carlisle looks to be without top runner Meg Lebo for the remainder of the season. A tough loss for the Thundering Herd. Sophia Toti has stepped up nicely as have several other runners, keeping Carlisle very much in the race for one of the 4 state qualifying spots. Mechanicsburg is the highest riser this week, entering the rankings at #7. Dallastown and Elizabethtown both fall this week. Depth is both teams top challenge. Both looked to be without one of their top 4 runners and in their absence they lost some low point scorers. Hershey, Mechanicsburg, Manheim Township, and Carlisle are the teams showing the most depth. At the Lehigh Paul Short Run, Exeter defeated Wilson by 4 points. Exeter 1-5 split based on best times goes from 20.17-21.04; Wilson’s goes from 19.55-21.22.

2. York Suburban (2) 3. Boiling Springs (3)
4. Greencastle-Antrim (NR)
5. Milton Hershey (4)

AA Girls Top 5 (Previous Rank)
1. Northern (1)
2. Gettysburg (NR)
3. Donegal (2)
4. York Suburban (3)
5. Boiling Springs (4)
Bubble Teams: Big Spring, Conrad Weiser, ELCO
Notes: Northern’s Marlee Starliper won the Paul Short Run in Lehigh in 17:59 while the rest of the Northern girls competed in Carlisle. Had Starliper competed in Carlisle with her team they would have been the top overall district III team amongst all AAA/AA/A teams. Gettysburg beat Donegal, Boiling Springs, and Big Springs in Carlisle. Greencastle-Antrim’s Taryn Parks won the individual title in Carlisle with a 17:59. The races between she and Starliper in the post-season should be fun to watch!
