Week 5 – BCIAA XC Results (10/1/19)

Berks Catholic, Kutztown, and Muhlenberg @ Twin Valley

Boys:

Twin Valley stays undefeated in BCIAA action earning 3 more wins today. Muhlenberg‘s Jonathan Thrush keeps proving he is one of the favorites in D3AAA as he wins today over some great competition, running 16:55.

Girls:

Twin Valley girls win 3 today and freshman Laura Posh breaks 20-minutes again, running 19:59.

Conrad Weiser, Hamburg, and Schuylkill Valley @ Oley Valley

Boys:

Oley Valley earns 3 victories today while placing 6 runners in the top 11 overall. Schuylkill Valley‘s Luke Seymour wins the individual race over the Conrad Weiser duo of Alfonso Knoll and Jay Thompson.

Girls:

Oley Valley runs well and picks up 3 wins. Ava Lottig earns the individual win for the Lynx in 22:50. Hamburg‘s Quinn Hall crosses only 7 seconds later in 22:57.

Exeter, Governor Mifflin, and Tulpehocken @ Daniel Boone

Boys:

Exeter put together a dominating performance today at Daniel Boone. They placed 5 athletes in the top 7 overall. Daniel Boone’s Alex Pingitore places first with 4 Exeter runners, led by Jason Fisher, finishing next.

Girls:

There was a big Section 1 match-up today at Daniel Boone between #5 D3AAA Governor Mifflin and #6 D3AAA Exeter. The Eagles would prove to be the better team today, securing a 25-30 victory over the Mustangs. Exeter’s Kat Kerchner and Ella Ehlert went 1-2 to pace the Eagles. The BCIAA Championships should be an exciting team battle between these two squads and the Wilson Bulldogs.

Fleetwood, Wilson, and Wyomissing @ Reading

This was the first race on Reading’s course, so the winner’s of today’s races, Ben Kuhn (Wyomissing) and Caryn Rippey (Wilson) now own course records!

Boys:

The Wyomissing boys earn 3 wins today and also got the individual victory from Ben Kuhn. Kuhn’s victory was almost a photo finish as he crossed just .34 seconds ahead of Wilson’s Christian Gagliardi.

Girls:

The Wilson girls put forth a dominating effort today at Reading. They place 6 girls in the top 8 overall and were led by Caryn Rippey‘s individual victory in 21:31. Wyomissing‘s Gwen Kuhn finished 2nd in 22:08.
