LL League

Kamiah and Kamyah Wright with JP McCaskey Head Coach Derek Jennings
  • Kamiah and Kamyah Wright, sr’s, JP McCaskey – The twins accumulated 8 gold medals over the weekend. Kamyah won the 100m (12.00) and 200m (24.52), breaking Leah Graybill’s meet record in the 200m. She also ran on the victorious 4x100m and 4x400m relays. Kamiah won the 400m (57.09) and ran on all 3 winning relays. McCaskey’s 4x400m relay broke Warwick’s meet record running 3:55.14.
  • Nick Keller, so Ephrata – Won the 100m (10.88), 200m (22.07), 400m (49.50), and 4x400m (3:25.08).
  • Isabella Shertzer jr, JP McCaskey – Shertzer won her 3rd straight LL League 800m title (2:16.00). She also ran legs on the winning 4x800m relay and record breaking 4x400m relay.
  • Milana Breuninger, sr JP McCaskey – Finished 2nd in the 3200m Friday evening (11:24.48), won the 1600m (5:08.18) on Saturday before gutting out a 2nd place finish in the 800m (2:21.55).
  • Aidan Hodge, sr Hempfield – Broke the LL League Championship record in the 1600m (previously held by Nathan Henderson of JP McCaskey and now at Syracuse). The Ole Miss commitment ran 4:11.15 to break the record. Hodge also won the 800m in 1:56.08.
  • Colin Whitaker, jr Lampeter Strasburg – Won the 3200m in hot conditions Friday evening with a time of 9:15.50. He then pushed Hodge to the meet record in the 1600m running a new lifetime best time of 4:13.0. He paced the group through 800m.
  • LL League Boys 1600m – Aidan Hodge, Colin Whitaker, Parker Stoner (sr, Lampeter Strasburg; 4:15.37) and Cole Stevens (so, Manheim Township; 4:17.03) all posted PA top 15 times in this race. Race Video
  • Brooke Denlinger, so Conestoga Valley – Denlinger swept the hurdles and ran new PRs along the way running 15.58 in the 100mH and 46.31 in the 300mH. She also ran on CV’s 3rd place 4x100m relay and 4th place 4x400m relay teams.
  • Zach Phy, sr Conestoga Valley – Won the 300mH in a lifetime best time of 39.17. Ran on the Buckskins winning 4x100m relay and 3rd place finishing 4x400m relay teams, helping his team win the overall League Title.
  • Matthew Remash, sr JP McCaskey – Remash won the javelin with a throw of 180-6, placed 2nd in the discus with a new PR of 150-10, and finished 4th in the shot with a toss of 48-0.
  • Maddie Knier, sr Manheim Central – Knier finished with 4 top 3 finishes. She won the HJ (5-2), placed 2nd in the long jump (18-1.75), 2nd in the triple jump (36-5.5), and 3rd in the javelin (129-10).
  • Ella Lucas, sr Warwick – Fell just short of the meet record in the discus with a winning throw of 156-0. Placed 2nd in the shot put (38-0.75).
  • Girls Long JumpAnnika Krasnai (sr, Manheim Township) won the event with a lifetime best jump of 18-2.25 as 7 girls jumped over 17-0 feet in the competition!

Mid-Penn Conference

  • Ericka Jackson, sr Harrisburg – Won all 3 throwing disciplines, taking the shot put in 41-8.5, the discus in 145-5, and javelin in 124-5.
  • Lex Cyrus, so Susquehanna Township – Won the 100m (10.55) and 200m (21.76). Those are the fastest times in District 3 this season and ranks PA#2 in the 100m and PA#10 in the 200m.
  • Soleil Morrison, sr Hershey – Bought home gold in the 100m (12.23) and 200m (24.98). Ran a leg on Hershey’s runner-up 4x400m relay (4:08.28) that secured the team title. Also ran on their 7th place 4x100m relay (50.27).
  • Girl’s 400m – 2022 State Champion Jillian Sydnor (sr, Shippensburg) took home the victory in an impressive time of 55.36. 8 girls broke 60s.
  • TJ Roden, sr Central Dauphin – Took home victories in the 800m (1:53.46) and 1600m (4:18.53). He also ran a leg on Central Dauphin’s 2nd place 4x400m relay (3:24.53). His 800m time is a new PR and currently ranks PA#6.
  • Joseph Butler, sr Cumberland Valley – Ran on Cumberland Valley’s winning 4x800m relay (7:54.83), placed 2nd in the 800m with a new lifetime best of 1:54.18 and helped the Eagles place 3rd in the 4x400m relay (3:24.72).
  • Alex Garcia, sr Lower Dauphin – Broke 49s (again) in the 400m to win the event in 48.71. Anchored his team to the win in the 4×400 (3:24.11) and ran on their 3rd place 4x100m relay (43.27).
  • Tyler Burgess, so Palmyra – Swept the hurdles and set new PRs in the process. He clocked 14.59 in the 110s and ran 39.03 in the 300mH. Also picked up a 5th place on Palmyra’s 4x100m relay team (43.79).
  • JJ Kelly, so Chambersburg – Kelly won the high jump (6-5) and the triple jump (46-7) and placed 2nd in the long jump (21-5.5). Ran on Chambersburg’s winning 4x100m relay team (42.61).
  • Shaniyah Weidler, so Susquehanna Township – Won the triple jump with a season’s best performance of 37-6.75. This is a PA#10 mark. She also PR’d to finish 3rd in the 100mH (15.91).
  • Akeem Mustapha, jr Susquehanna Township – Set a big PR of 23-4 to win the long jump. He also placed 4th in the 110mH in 15.15.
  • Anna Lehman, so Northern York – Ran a lifetime best of 2:15.32 to win the 800m over Ashley Pines (sr, Cumberland Valley) who finished 2nd in 2:15.41.
  • Camy Kiser, sr Chambersburg – Kiser won the 1600m over a strong field in a PR time of 4:56.13. Kiser has now PRd in everything from 400m-3200m this season. Her 4:56 1600m time ranks PA#5. She also ran on Chambersburg’s 2nd place 4x800m relay team (9:59.16).

BCIAA

  • Kaitlyn Highduch, jr Governor Mifflin – Highduch won the 3200m on Thursday evening in 11:03.28. She would place 4th in the 1600m running a new PR time of 5:10.49.
  • Zack Zerbe, jr Governor Mifflin – Zerbe and Twin Valley’s Anthony Engle (sr, Twin Valley) are the top 2 middle distance/distance runners in Berks. Zerbe had Engle’s number in this one, however, winning the 3200m on Thursday in 9:28.51 and then winning the 1600m Saturday with a personal best time of 4:18.94.
  • Brady Mider, jr Berks Catholic – Won the discus with a PR throw of 154-5 and won the shot put with an outdoor PR of 59-4.
  • Luke Martinez, jr Schuylkill Valley – Martinez took 1st in the long jump with a new PR of 21-10. He placed 2nd in the pole vault with a 13-0 clearance.
  • Violet Houck, fr Wilson – Finised 2nd to Katelyn Murphy (sr, Conrad Weiser; 15.15) in the 100mH setting a new PR of 15.22. She came back later in the day to run a big lifetime best of 45.24 to win the 300mH.
  • William and Andrew Delp sr’s, Wyomissing – They would finish 1-2 in the 110mH with William getting the win in 14.95. Andrew ran 15.25. Both times were PRs. They then teamed up on Wyomissing’s 2nd place 400m relay team (43.35).
  • Alexis Hardy, so Wyomissing – PR’d en route to winning the 100m in 12.26. She placed 2nd in the 200m in 25.76. Hardy also ran on Wyomissing’s 5th place 4x100m relay team (51.33).
  • Nadly Gyapong, jr Muhlenberg – Set a lifetime best in winning the 200m in 25.35. Finished 2nd to Hardy in the 100m (12.57). Also ran on Muhlenberg’s 3rd place 4x100m relay team (51.10) and 7th place 4x400m relay team (4:20.36).
  • Gabby Keith, jr Exeter Township – Keith won the 1600m breaking the 5-min barrier for the first time in her career. She came back to finish 3rd in the 800m.
  • Sarah Ann Miller, sr Twin Valley – Won both the 400m (56.85) and 800m (2:15.15) and ran a leg on Twin Valley’s runner-up 4x400m relay team (4:05.81). The East Carolina Commit is a threat to medal in both individual events at states in 2 weeks.
  • Collin Niedrowski, jr Wyomissing – Threw over 190-feet to win the javelin as Wyomissing placed 1-2-3 in the event. They could repeat this feat next week at Districts.
  • Lauren Akers, jr Kutztown – Won the javelin by over 15-feet with a throw of 132-0.

YAIAA

  • Ella Bahn, fr Spring Grove – Bahn’s amazing freshman season continues. She won both the 100mH (14.52) and 300mH (43.85). She then won the 800m (2:17.31) immediately after running the 300mH. She also won the high jump with a 5-5 clearance. She currently ranks PA#4 in the 300mH, PA#5 in the 100mH, and PA#5 in the high jump.
  • Nico Wright-Phillips, sr West York – Won the 100m (10.86) and 200m (21.81). The 200m performance was his lifetime best. He also ran on West York’s winning 4x100m relay team (42.66).
  • Laila Campbell, jr West York – Placed 1st in the 100m (11.67) and 200m (23.77). She currently ranks PA#2 in both events. Avery Lewis (jr, Friends Central) is ranked #1.
  • LaDainian Strausbaugh, jr Red Lion – Won the 400m (50.39) and placed 2nd in the 100m (11.00) and 3rd in the 200m (22.12).
  • Kenneth Johnson, sr Dallastown – Placed 2nd in the 200m (22.07) and 3rd in the 100m (11.07). Ran on Dallastown’s 2nd place 400m relay (42.80) and 1600m relay teams (3:32.35).
  • Mathew O’Brien, sr Susquehannock – Won the 1600m in 4:16.54, the 800m in 1:56.71, and anchored Susquehannock to 2nd in the 4x800m relay (8:27.97).
  • Kailey Granger, sr Dallastown – PR’d in the 1600m (5:03.82) en route to victory. Placed 3rd in the 800m (2:20.30).
  • Shernel Singh, sr South Western – Ran strong legs on South Western’s winning 4x800m (8:14.62) and 4x400m (3:22.85) relay teams. The 4x400m time ranks #1 in District 3. Was runner-up to O’Brien in the 800m running 1:56.90.
  • Bernard Bell, sr South Western – Bell won the 110mH (14.29) and the long jump (22-1.75). Also ran on South Western’s D3AAA #1 4x400m relay team.
  • Perry Addey, sr West York – Won the 300mH in a PA#1 time of 37.53! Also ran a leg on West York’s winning 400m relay team. His 300mH time is the fastest in PA since 2019.
  • Ryleigh Marks, sr Susquehannock – Finished 2nd in the 100mH but ran a PA#3 14.38 time in prelims. Won the long jump with a leap of 17-9.75. Placed 4th in the 300mH (47.09). She also ran on Susquehannock’s 2nd place 400m relay team (49.93).
  • Michael Scott, so Dallastown – Jumped 44-5 to win the triple jump. Placed 3rd in the long jump (20-11.75). Also ran on Dallastown’s 2nd place 4x100m relay team and placed 8th in the 100m.
  • Matthew Arnold, sr York Tech – Threw a lifetime best 173-4 in the discus, winning the event by 12-feet. That throw ranks PA#2 on the season.
  • Jackson Hersh, jr South Western – Won the javelin with a PR of 185-7. That moves him up to PA#14 and ranks him #1 in D3AAA.

Tri-Valley League

  • Samantha Wechsler, sr Susquenita – Won both the long (17-7) and triple jumps (35-8). She jumped 37-8.75 in the triple at the PECO Championships on 5/8/23. That mark ranks 8th in PA.
  • Logan Strawser, sr East Juniata – Took home victories in the 3200m (9:45.55) and 800m (1:56.38).
  • Isiah Dyer, sr Millersburg – Placed 1st in the long (21-2) and triple jumps (42-11)

Heritage Conference

  • Justin Marshall, sr Penns Manor – Swept the short sprints winning the 100m in 10.83 and the 200m in 22.68.
  • Camy Burkett, jr Portage – Took home victories in the 100m (12.33) and 200m (26.01).
  • Alex Polenik, so Penns Manor – Broke 50-feet in winning the shot. He also won the discus with a toss of 149-4.
  • Justley Sharp, sr Homer Center – Sharp won the discus (139-2) and shot (45-0.5). She currently ranks PA#2 in the shot and PA#4 in the discus.

LHAC

  • Delaney Dumm, sr Forest Hills – The Lipscomb University commit won the 800m (2:20.73), 1600m (5:00.02), and 3200m (10:52.05).
  • Andre Marinak, sr Penn Cambria – Ran a lifetime best 39.24 in winning the 300mH. Placed 3rd in the 110mH (15.76).
  • Sasha Garnett, jr Richland – Won the shot put with a throw of 41-3 and placed 3rd in the discus with a mark of 100-9. She currently ranks PA#4 in the shot.
  • Central Cambria 4x800m Relays – Central Cambria looks ready to do some damage at states in 2 weeks. The girls 4x800m is ranked #2 in class AA. The boys 4x800m ranks #3 in class AA.

Mountain League

  • Tyler Rader, jr Huntingdon – Won the 1600m (4:26.45) and 3200m (9:46.98).
  • Caden Delattre, jr Hollidaysburg – Swept the horizontal jumps, winning the long jump with a mark of 21-7 and the triple ump with a mark of 45-8.
  • Reagan Irons, sr Tyrone – Placed 1st in the high jump (5-2) and triple jump (37-3). Finished 3rd in the long jump.
