Results: 2026 LL XC Champs
Individual Champion: Stephen Atteberry, Manheim Township, 16:02.20
Team Champion: Manheim Township, 79 points.
Individual Race:
Heading into the race, we knew the individual title was anyone’s to win, and the finish lived up to expectations. Manheim Township junior Stephen Atteberry edged Annville-Cleona’s Benjamin Boyd by 2.7 seconds to claim the individual title. Both runners rank among the best in their respective classifications and will have their sights set on another individual title at the District Championships in just over a week.
The only senior in the top six was Hempfield’s Liam Hodge, who finished third, just 3.9 seconds behind Atteberry and 1.2 seconds behind Boyd. Hodge has now run under 16:10 three times this season and will look to break the 16-minute barrier for the first time as the postseason continues next Saturday. Xavier Prinzivalli (Ephrata) finished fourth in 16:10.1, exactly four seconds behind Hodge, recording his second-fastest time of the season. Lance Engle (JP McCaskey) rounded out the top five in 16:14.4.
The top underclassman of the meet was Lampeter-Strasburg sophomore William Magagna, who finished sixth in 16:15.9, just 0.9 seconds ahead of Manheim Township senior Ben Doumaux. Zachary Margut led Cedar Crest with an eighth-place finish in 16:20. A tight pack followed, with Isaac Hoover (JP McCaskey) placing ninth, Wyatt Wolfe (Cedar Crest) taking 10th, and Kyle Reidenbaugh (Ephrata) finishing 11th. Levi Sell (Warwick) was the final runner to break 16:30, placing 12th.
Logan Stough (Donegal) finished 13th in 16:31, followed by the top freshman in the race, Jack McGinnis (Octorara), in 14th. Parker Newman (Manheim Township) was highlighted in our preview as a runner to watch, and he delivered by rounding out the top 15.

Team Race:
The LL League Championships played out as four separate battles among the top eight teams: first versus second, third versus fourth, fifth versus sixth, and seventh versus eighth. While there were significant point gaps between each pair, the teams within each matchup finished within just six points of one another, making for a series of close finishes throughout the team standings.
Manheim Township is back on top of the LL League after being dethroned by Cedar Crest last season, but the result was even closer than we expected. The Blue Streaks were projected to score 69 points and finished with 79, while Cedar Crest was projected for 84 and finished with 82, giving Manheim Township a narrow three-point victory. Manheim Township had three finishers in the top 15, all earning individual medals. Stephen Atteberry won the race, Ben Doumaux finished seventh, and Parker Newman placed 15th. Soren Tryon continued his breakout season with a 27th-place finish, while Oscar Beaulieu finished 29th to round out the Blue Streaks’ top five. Cedar Crest had the tightest spread among the league’s top teams, separating its first and fifth runners by just 34 seconds. All five Falcons finished in the top 25 and earned individual medals, led by Zachary Margut in eighth and Wyatt Wolfe in 10th. James Engle finished 19th, Henry Wengert took 21st, and Avery Gatto rounded out the group in 24th.
JP McCaskey and Hempfield battled for third place, with JP McCaskey ultimately coming out ahead. The Red Tornadoes finished with 131 team points, powered by a strong top three that all earned medals. Lance Engle finished fifth, Isaac Hoover placed ninth, and Thomas Ardia took 16th. Oliver Cook finished 48th and Bryan Rodriguez placed 53rd to round out JP McCaskey’s top five. Hempfield, meanwhile, relied more on its depth across the top seven than on a dominant top three as they finished with 137 points. Liam Hodge provided a strong low stick with his third-place finish, while Aiden Miller claimed the final individual medal in 25th. Isaac Moore finished close behind in 28th to complete the Black Knights’ top three. Andrew Moore placed 39th and Josh Paglia finished 42nd, with Carlo Abello and Riley Reich providing additional depth as displacers.
Lampeter-Strasburg and Octorara were the next closely matched teams, with the Pioneers finishing just two points ahead of the Braves (LS 186, Octorara 188). William Magagna led Lampeter-Strasburg with a sixth-place finish, while Canaan Rohrer also earned a medal by placing 20th. Juniors Jackson Lukacs and Elliot DeBruin finished 38th and 60th, respectively, while freshman Matthew Szoke rounded out the Pioneers’ top five in 63rd. Jack McGinnis led Octorara as the top freshman finisher in the race. Cody Lusby was the Braves’ second runner in 32nd, followed by a tightly packed group of Cannon Walters in 46th, Trace Hostetter in 47th, and Thomas Donovan in 49th.
Ephrata and Warwick were separated by just one point, with Ephrata scoring 216 and Warwick finishing with 217. The Mountaineers were heavily front-loaded, with two runners in the top 12 combining for just 15 points. Xavier Prinzivalli finished fourth, while Kyle Reidenbaugh placed 11th. Jeremiah Inion, Cael Musser, and Cody Shaffer rounded out Ephrata’s top five. Warwick also had an individual medalist, with Levi Sell finishing 12th just behind Reidenbaugh. Cole Weaver and Isaac Monaghan both finished in the top 50, placing 36th and 44th, respectively, while Mateo Tuten and Caleb Jerchau completed the Warriors’ top five.
